Welcome back, my hearts. I hope your holiday and New Year celebrations were spectacular. I wanted to check in with Ye Olde Intertubes and give you a post-party wrap up.
Christmas was cozy. A little off, still, but quite nice anyway. I now have candy-stripe long-john PJs, and I look like a giant candy cane when I have them on. They also have matching slippers. They are awesome.
New Year’s Eve was odd. At one point, a friend bit me like a vampire. Because that’s how we roll.
New Year’s Day was less fun. We received word that my step-grandfather had passed away. Even though I knew his health had been deteriorating, the news still threw me a bit. Hug your families.
Yesterday, I attempted to put together an inexpensive shelf from a European based inexpensive furniture store that shall not be named. The shelves would not align. The holes were not drilled in the right places, or deeply enough. The pieces would not sit flush together. In a misguided attempt to squeeze things into place, I had a friend help me. And then the little wooden pegs holding things in place snapped and the thing fell apart.
But I did still manage to organize things, even without the help of a new shelf.
